Team Inlaks
The Inlaks Fine Art Award enables the recipient to undertake independent work in India for one year, with a stipulation to attend a recognized Art Residency programme for 4 weeks during the year.
Duration and Value
- The Award is worth INR 3,00,000/- for a period of one year.
- Additionally the Awardee will be required to attend an art residency programme within India for a period of four weeks during the course of the year resulting in an open day event.
Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant must be an Indian citizen, currently residing in India.
- The applicant must be born on or after 1st January 1995.
- The applicant may be a recent graduate/post-graduate or a final year student from a leading Indian institute for visual arts in India.
- If the applicant has applied for the award earlier, they must submit a new body of work if they re-apply.
- In the case of an applicant not having a formal degree in the visual arts, it is desirable that they would have participated in organised art exhibitions.
Exclusion
- No student of a first year master’s programme will be considered.
- Applicant should not be holding a similar/ government scholarship or award during the tenure of the Inlaks Fine Art Award.

Selection Process
The selection procedure consists of two stages:
- Desk screening of applications followed by an online interview of the shortlisted applicants.
- The candidates shortlisted for the interviews will be informed by the last week of October 2025.
- The final interviews will be held online in the first week of November 2025.
Other Details
- The Awardees must submit a detailed interim report at the end of 6 months (mid term ) and a final report at the end of their award term.
- They must also submit a residency report on completion of their residency.
The Inlaks Theatre Award enables Indian theatre practitioners towards skill enhancement in the field of theatre. Skill enhancement may be explored by working with a mentor and participating in recognized training workshops, residencies, and other appropriate activities for a maximum duration of one year.

Duration and Value
- Depending on the proposal and the length of the proposed programme, the Foundation will provide an allowance of INR 15,000 per month for the duration of the programme, which should not exceed one year.
- For short-term Awards (of three months or less), the amount awarded will be paid upfront and the mentor or institution will need to submit a letter certifying that the Awardee attended and completed the programme for which the award was made.
- For longer-term Awards (of over three months) half the amount awarded will be paid at the beginning. The second installment will be paid at the midpoint of the term of the Award, on receipt of a progress report from the head of the institution, mentor, guide or guru under whom the applicant will be working.
Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant must be an Indian citizen, currently residing in India.
- The applicant must be born on or after 1st January 1990.
- The applicant should be a recent graduate / post-graduate from a leading Indian institute for theatre in India. Applicants not having a formal degree but possessing a high quality record of past achievements may be considered in exceptional circumstances.
Exclusions
- This Award does not cover tuition fees towards attending a full-time theatre programme at an institute.
- Applicants should not hold a similar / government scholarship or award during the tenure of the Inlaks Theatre Award.

Selection Procedure

The interviews of the shortlisted applicants will be held online by Mid-September 2025.

- The mentor/Guru must also submit an interim term report and end of year progress report of the applicant to the Foundation.
