The Inlaks Residency at International Studio and Curatorial Program, New York 2027

The Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation and International Studio & Curatorial Program (ISCP) in Brooklyn, New York, supports a residency for curators and artists from India.   

The residency will take place from 1st May 2027 to 31st July 2027

Duration and Value

1. The residency is up to three months between 1st May 2027 to 31st July 2027.
2. The residency includes 24-hour access to a private and furnished studio space, regular studio visits from visiting critics, field trips to museums, galleries and other cultural institutions, and participation in ISCP Talks.
3. Residents are also invited to take part in ISCP’s Exhibition Program and Participatory Projects.
4. The residency includes a stipend for accommodation and living expenses in New York City and travel costs.

Eligibility Criteria

1. The applicant must be an Indian passport holding citizen and resident in India at the time of application.
2. The applicant must be born on or after 1st January 1991.

Exclusion

The applicant should not have received any prior grant from the Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation for any other overseas project.

Selection Process

The selection process involves a desk review of the application followed by an online interview of the shortlisted applicants. Shortlisted applicants will be informed by September end 2026.

Other Details

If your application is successful, there will be a deadline of February 1, 2027, to obtain a visa, in order to participate in this residency. ISCP recommends a B1 / B2 visa, and can assist with a letter of support.
